Lets face it. This is another feel good law. In the end, this will end up in Federal Court, lawsuits will result and nothing will result from this other than the law being overturned. To think that someone who has paid their debt to society, possibly a first time offender and now a law abiding citizen may continue to punished for something that occurred so long ago. Prohibiting someone living in a certain area is prejudicial! Furthermore, it will solve NOTHING. I say pass the ordinance, sue their butts and collect. GO FOR IT
Dear Worcester,
You have a nice city. I’ve been there and enjoyed my time there. I did motivational programs in some of your schools, ate at Boston Chicken(I know it’s now Boston Market, but I also know some of the locals still call it by the old name), and even know it’s pronounced “Woosta.”
Don’t waste your time with residency restrictions. It will be costly and will eventually be overturned. It will accomplish nothing and no one will be made more safe. In other words, it will be a complete waste of your time to even bring it up again.
Sincerely,
